BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

DEPOSITS & PAYMENT 

 

1. A provisional booking will be accepted by the caravan owners, subject to receiving a £150 security deposit within 2 working days, this deposit should be paid via the booking link or bank transfer. Upon receiving deposit, you’ll receive confirmation for the dates that you have now booked. Please note that ALL bookings are provisional until the caravan owners receive the deposit. If you pay upfront in full, including the £150 security deposit; your booking is confirmed and we look forward to welcoming you.

 

DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE IN THE EVENT OF CANCELLATION. 

 

2. If the deposit is not received within 2 working days it is assumed by the caravan owners that the provisional booking is no longer required. 

3. THE BALANCE OF THE HIRE CHARGE IS DUE SIX WEEKS PRIOR TO ARRIVAL, if the balance is NOT received within this time frame, then the caravan owners reserve the right to hire the caravan to someone else. Bookings taken with less than SIX weeks remaining can only be accepted if payment is made in full and received within 2 working days. 

4. The deposit will also act as a £150 refundable security bond. This bond is fully refundable at the end of the hire period and returned within seven days of departure date. The caravan owners reserve the right to withhold some or the entire bond and /or bill the hirer for the additional cost of: a) replacing and/or repairing all damage b) all breakages c) charge for cleaning the caravan or removing stains or replacing as new. 

ALL BREAKAGES, DAMAGE AND STAINS WITHIN THE CARAVAN, THE DECKING/FENCE/STEPS AREA AND HOT TUB/HOT TUB ACCESSORIES MUST BE PAID FOR. IF THE COST OF BREAKAGE/DAMAGE/STAINS EXCEEDS THE £150 SECURITY BOND, YOU WILL BE CHARGED THE DIFFERENCE. 

 

THE HIRER MUST INFORM THE CARAVAN OWNERS WITHIN 12HRS OF ARRIVAL OF ALL DEFECTS, INVENTORY SHORTAGES AND/ OR BREAKAGES. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN YOU, THE HIRER, BEING RESPONSIBLE. 

 

CANCELLATIONS 

 

5. In the event of a cancellation, the hirer must confirm this in writing. (Deposits are not refundable in the event of a cancellation). 

5a. The weather, availability of park facilities, works being undertaken by the park, park issues such as (but not limited to) power failure, water failure or facilities failure, and changes of mind are not valid reasons to cancel. As point 7, cancellation within 2 weeks does not qualify for a refund. As a 'just in case' check if you have appropriate holiday/travel insurance with your bank or a policy to ensure you are covered for such eventualities.

6. No refund will be made to the hirer whose hiring has commenced and who vacates the caravan for any reason including an emergency at home. 

7. Once the balance has been paid refunds will only be considered in certain circumstances at the owner’s discretion and subject to the time remaining to the holiday and a replacement booking being obtained. (50% refund if cancelled at least three weeks before check-in. 25% refund if you cancel at least two weeks before check-in). 

 

GENERAL BOOKING CONDITIONS 

 

8a. You are booking the use of a holiday home. The park facilities are controlled by the park and subject to availability using Away Resorts' booking platforms online or at Guest Services. The caravan owners accept no responsibility for the availability, service and management of park operated facilities.

8b. Bookings will only be accepted from hirers who are twenty-one (21) years of age and above. No same sex groups (Couples and Family’s only – same sex group bookings taken at the owner’s discretion). 

9. Only the persons nominated on the online booking form may stay at the caravan. Over Occupancy will not be tolerated and the park will ask you to leave with no refund.

10a. ALL changes to a booking are allowed by prior agreement with the caravan owners and confirmed in writing to the owners. 

10b. We have the flexibility to offer two night stays, subject to prior agreement if not available on the booking app. To help us turn around these shorter breaks please bring your own bedding, unless agreed otherwise with the caravan owners. 

11. The hirer is responsible for the conduct of all persons listed on the booking form. 

12. The hirer agrees that all persons named on the booking form shall be with you (the hirer) during your hire period of the holiday caravan. Holiday park owners and/or their staff shall have a copy of your booking form. The booking form is important because it is for you and your party’s safety and security purposes only. 

13. Each person listed on the booking form and your guest(s)/visitor(s) must be prepared to identify themselves to the park owners or their staff upon request and comply with their reasonable requirements. 

14. The hirer shall notify the caravan owners in writing with any changes to person(s) listed on the booking form at the earliest possible opportunity and in any event, prior to arrival at the holiday park. 

15. The hirer must give access to the holiday caravan as / when required to the caravan owners, holiday park owners and their staff / agents. 

16. The caravan owners reserve the right to refuse any booking without any obligation to give a and / or reserve the right to terminate any booking for whatever reason at their absolute discretion. 

17. The hirer acknowledges that Tattershall Lakes Country Park is located next door to RAF Coningsby (former home of 617 Squadron and the Dambusters!) so aircraft are likely to take off and land at some point during your stay. It goes without saying that the RAF are here to serve and protect the needs of the Country, as opposed to scheduling flights not to coincide with a family chat. So, refunds will not be made if you come along and then decide that RAF related activity is not your cup of tea.

 

UPON COMMENCEMENT OF HIRE 

 

18. The holiday caravan may be occupied from 4pm onwards on the first day of hiring. 

19. In the case of a maintenance problem, the hirer shall contact the caravan reception. D.I.Y repairs must NOT be attempted. If the hirer does any D.I.Y repairs, then rule 4 will apply. 

20. Pets are allowed subject to written confirmation from the caravan owners (due to allergies), subject to a surcharge of £30. Preference will be given to furry friends that are happy living in a handbag, or are larger and well-behaved. If your dog is a nutter, likes to put bite marks in holiday home fixtures and fittings, or enjoys shitting on the carpet, please give your £30 to a friend to look after them back at home, as it will cost you much more to bring them due to rule 4.

21. Smoking is NOT permitted in the caravan but ashtrays are provided for outside use only. 

22. The caravan is to be left in a clean and tidy condition ready for the next tenants, due to inspection by staff. Please leave the caravan as you found it and take all rubbish to the nearest bin stalls (located at the end of the road). If not, then rule 4. shall apply. 

23. Holiday park owners and their staff do not accept liability for any loss or damage to the hirer’s property and/ or accidents, injuries, illness, diseases, arising from the hire of the caravan or use of the holiday park, including acts of god or extreme weather conditions. 

24. The holiday caravan MUST be vacated by 10am on the last day of hiring. Ready for the cleaner to check over. 

25. No Prams/Buggies to be left open, and used in the caravans as this has been known to damage doors and fittings. 

26. Hot Tub rules are to be adhered to at all times, please see signage on the hot tub. Our hot tub is maintained daily by a Park Approved Hot Tub contractor - you will see them daily checking the chemical levels and draining and changing the hot tub water on changeover days. If they shut down the hot tub for safety or mechanical/electrical issues refunds will not apply. If the reason for the hot tub shut down is due to negligence or misuse by the HIRER, then rule 4 applies.

27. Outdoor shoes must not be worn indoors. Any stains in the caravan will result in extra cleaning costs and time and rule 4 will apply. 

28. In the event of guest misconduct, your details may be shared with other owners to prevent future bookings, and rule 4 will apply. 

29. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS AND TEA TOWELS, AS WE DON'T PROVIDE THEM.

 

IF YOU ARE ASKED TO VACATE THE CARAVAN / HOLIDAY PARK BY THE HOLIDAY PARK OWNERS OR THEIR STAFF FOR ANY REASON WHATSOEVER, THE CARAVAN OWNERS SHALL NOT REFUND ANY MONEY PAID. 

 

PLEASE NOTE 

 

Once we have received your £150 security deposit you (the hirer) has agreed to the full terms and conditions, as above, as applicable at the time of your booking and holiday. 

These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights under English law.

ENTERTAINMENT PASSES
